USA, Amaro Goncalves, alongside Director of Global Defence, Jonatan Edward Abramovic, and their delegation, paid a courtesy call to the Commander of the Indonesian Marine Corps (Pangkormar), Lieutenant General (Mar) Dr. Endi Supardi, on Thursday (August 13, 2026).

Held at the Neptunus Building, Navy Headquarters (Mabesal) in Cilangkap, Jakarta, the meeting aimed to strengthen relations and explore potential collaboration in military technology and weaponry modernization.
The strategic meeting served as a forum to exchange insights on the latest advancements in modern small arms and light weapons. Both parties discussed firearms that offer high reliability, precision, ergonomics, and flexibility to support Marine tactical operations in various mission environments.

Lieutenant General Endi Supardi welcomed the SIG Sauer delegation, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with evolving military technology to enhance the combat readiness and capabilities of the Indonesian Marine Corps. He expressed hope that this initial meeting would pave the way for constructive communication and future cooperation tailored to the Corps’ operational requirements.

Also attending the event were several key Marine Corps officials, including the Assistant for Planning (Asrena Pangkormar), Commander of the Marine Corps Headquarters Detachment (Dandenma Mako Kormar), Commander of the 1st Marine Rocket Battalion (Danyon Roket 1 Marinir), and the Commander’s Chief of Staff (Korsmin Pangkormar). Delegations from SIG Sauer Inc. USA and PT Prawira Indodarma were also present.
